Infrastructure Requirements Specialist - AI Projects

Location: Riyadh

Compensation: $10,500 - $11,000 per month

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Infrastructure Requirements Specialist to join a global consulting firm who are supporting a large national defence organisation. This role focuses on designing and defining infrastructure requirements for cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence (AI) projects that support national security and defence objectives. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between AI project teams and infrastructure architects, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions.

You will have expertise in high-performance computing, distributed systems, and data storage solutions and a familiarity with AI/ML frameworks and their infrastructure needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Analysis and Design:
Collaborate with AI project teams to understand computational, storage, and networking needs.
Requirements Gathering:
Derive technical infrastructure requirements for AI projects, including private cloud, edge, and on-premises solutions.
Security and Compliance:
Ensure that infrastructure designs adhere to national defence security standards and compliance regulations.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Act as a liaison between AI researchers, software engineers, and infrastructure teams.
Technology Evaluation and Innovation:
Evaluate emerging technologies and their feasibility for AI infrastructure enhancement.
Performance Optimisation:
Monitor infrastructure performance during AI project lifecycles and suggest improvements.
Optimise the use of GPUs, TPUs, and other specialised hardware for AI workloads.
Documentation and Reporting:
Develop detailed technical documentation of requirements, designs, and recommendations.Key Qualifications and Experience:

Education:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Professional certifications in AI computing or infrastructure management are desirable.Experience:

Experience in infrastructure design, with at least 3 years focusing on AI/ML projects.
Demonstrated experience in national security or defence organisations is preferred.Technical Skills:

Expertise in high-performance computing, distributed systems, and data storage solutions.
Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks and their infrastructure needs.
Proficient in relevant security standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, or similar frameworks.Keywords:
