Senior Data Analyst

Full Time • Richmond, Wandsworth and at least 40% office based.


We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst to transform complex social care data into impactful visual insights that support data‑driven decision‑making. Your PowerBI, coding, SQL, R/Python, and data visualization skills will guide our social care managers to improve services for vulnerable adults and carers in Richmond and Wandsworth.


About the Role

You will join the Assurance and Innovation Division within the Adult Social Care and Public Health Directorate. In a committed Adults Performance Team, you will collaborate with colleagues across operational services, IT, and commissioners to deliver performance monitoring and reporting using national and local data sources.


Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports in PowerBI.
  • Plan, lead, and deliver complex data solutions to improve performance and service delivery.
  • Analyse large datasets to extract key messages and provide actionable insights.
  • Communicate data concepts clearly to non‑technical audiences.
  • Project‑manage collaborative initiatives with colleagues across large organisations.
  • Apply SQL, R or Python, PowerBI and PowerQuery tools effectively.

Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Experience working in a constantly changing, busy environment.
  • Self‑starter, comfortable working individually and as part of a team.
  • Strong eye for detail with an inquisitive mindset.
  • Quantitative analytical background with ability to draw out key messages from large datasets.
  • Excellent communication skills; able to explain data concepts to non‑technical audiences.
  • Highly developed IT skills including SQL, R or Python, PowerBI and PowerQuery.
  • Good project management skills with experience collaborating across large organisations.

Contract Details

Fixed Term or Secondment – 18 months


Salary: £40,737 - £49,365

Test/Presentation: Assessments on PowerBI, SQL, Excel
