Your Role in the team:

In this role, the Support Engineer will diagnose Software/Hardware to a technical fix solution result. This could either be over the phone, remote or in person at the desk. You'll cover one or more areas of expertise, assist with Upgrades & Fixes when required. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Citrix, Windows OS, Office365, Intune, Fidessa, Bloomberg, Cisco Telephony and some basic network knowledge.

What will you do:

  • Act as an internal ‘Technical Support Technician’ for all IT Workplace related support, working across a broad range of technologies and liaising across multiple areas of the business to support incidents, problems, and requests. Responsible for answering IT requests via Tickets in ServiceNow, phone, email, live chat, or instant message and explaining solutions in technical and non-technical terms.
  • Successfully support the business (onsite, phone, and remote) with comprehensive issue resolutions.
  • Provide IT support at offsite conferences.
  • Perform administrative tasks in IT Systems.
  • Participate in IT Projects (e.g. Mobile Device Migration Projects).

What we are looking for:

  • Committed and client-oriented, proactive in providing excellent customer service.
  • Proven experience/support with Windows Server, WIN10/7, Group Policy, Active Directory, Citrix XenApp, UMS Admin, Mobile Devices (Apple), MAC support, Intune Admin, Telephony, Azure experience, printers, thin clients (HP & IGEL), desk setup, Bloomberg, Fidessa, Microsoft Office, Uniflow Print Server, IPC & Cisco Telephony.
  • Knowledge of LAN, WAN and WIFI networks and technologies as well as leased lines.
  • Effective time management including ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize daily business as well as IT Projects.
  • Experience in supporting users within an Investment Bank environment would be helpful.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet challenging deadlines.
  • Flexibility for occasional weekend work and out of hours support, willingness to travel to support for Berenberg Conference(s).
