Synthesia is the world’s leading AI video platform for business, used by over 90% of the Fortune 100. Founded in 2017, the company is headquartered in London, with offices and teams across Europe and the US.

As AI continues to shape the way we live and work, Synthesia develops products to enhance visual communication and enterprise skill development, helping people work better and stay at the center of successful organizations.

Following our recent Series E funding round, where we raised $200 million, our valuation stands at $4 billion. Our total funding exceeds $530 million from premier investors including Accel, NVentures (Nvidia's VC arm), Kleiner Perkins, GV, and Evantic Capital, alongside the founders and operators of Stripe, Datadog, Miro, and Webflow.

About the role

You will work onend-to-end product features across the Avatars and Generative Media domain, building experiences that sit at the core of Synthesia’s product.

You will design and deliver features that combinefrontend, backend, and AI model capabilities, helping users create and customize avatars, generate content, and interact with generative systems in a reliable and intuitive way.

You will take ownership of features fromidea through to production, working with loosely defined requirements to scope, prototype, and ship solutions that deliver real user impact.

You will work directly withAI models (both third-party and in-house), evaluating what is possible, understanding reliability constraints, and shaping product decisions based on those capabilities.

You will build across the stack, including:

  • Backend systems to support feature logic and model integration

  • Frontend experiences that allow users to interact with generative features

  • End-to-end workflows that connect user input, model output, and product behavior

You will frequently work on0 to 1 problems, such as introducing new avatar capabilities or generative features, where experimentation and iteration are critical to success.

You will collaborate closely with product and design to:

  • Translate user problems into experiments and features

  • Validate what works reliably with underlying models

  • Iterate quickly based on feedback and real usage

You will ship features behindfeature flags, measure outcomes, and continuously refine based on product and user signals.

What we’re looking for

  • You have experience building and shippingfull-stack product features end-to-end in production environments.

  • You are comfortable working across bothfrontend and backend, and can independently deliver a feature from concept to implementation.

  • You have a strongproduct mindset and can take ambiguous problems, define scope, and iterate towards solutions that deliver user value.

  • You are comfortable working in0 to 1 environments, experimenting, prototyping, and learning quickly rather than relying on detailed upfront specs.

  • You can evaluate technical feasibility andmake pragmatic trade-offs, especially when working with imperfect or evolving systems such as AI models.

  • You care aboutreliability and user experience, aiming to build features that work consistently in real-world usage.

  • You are confident collaborating with product and design, including pushing back when something is not feasible and proposing better alternatives.

  • You are willing to debug and work across the stack, wherever the problem is.

  • Experience withAI or ML-powered products, experimentation workflows, or feature flagging is a plus, but not required.

Where to Advertise Machine Learning Jobs in the UK (2026 Guide)

Advertising machine learning jobs in the UK requires a different approach to most technical hiring. The candidate pool is small, highly specialised and in demand across AI labs, financial services, healthcare, autonomous systems and consumer technology simultaneously. Machine learning engineers and researchers move between roles through professional networks, conference communities and specialist platforms — not general job boards where ML roles compete with unrelated software engineering positions for the same audience. This guide, published by MachineLearningJobs.co.uk, covers where to advertise machine learning roles in the UK in 2026, how the main platforms compare, what employers should expect to pay, and what the data says about hiring across different role types.

New Machine Learning Employers to Watch in 2026: UK and Global Companies Driving ML Innovation

Machine learning (ML) has transitioned from a specialised field into a core business capability. In 2026, organisations across healthcare, finance, robotics, autonomous systems, natural language processing, and analytics are expanding their machine learning teams to build scalable intelligent products and services. For professionals exploring opportunities on www.MachineLearningJobs.co.uk , understanding the companies that are scaling, winning investment, or securing high‑impact contracts is crucial. This article highlights the new and high‑growth machine learning employers to watch in 2026, focusing on UK innovators, international firms with significant UK presence, and global platforms investing in machine learning talent locally.

How Many Machine Learning Tools Do You Need to Know to Get a Machine Learning Job?

Machine learning is one of the most exciting and rapidly growing areas of tech. But for job seekers it can also feel like a maze of tools, frameworks and platforms. One job advert wants TensorFlow and Keras. Another mentions PyTorch, scikit-learn and Spark. A third lists Mlflow, Docker, Kubernetes and more. With so many names out there, it’s easy to fall into the trap of thinking you must learn everything just to be competitive. Here’s the honest truth most machine learning hiring managers won’t say out loud: 👉 They don’t hire you because you know every tool. They hire you because you can solve real problems with the tools you know. Tools are important — no doubt — but context, judgement and outcomes matter far more. So how many machine learning tools do you actually need to know to get a job? For most job seekers, the real number is far smaller than you think — and more logically grouped. This guide breaks down exactly what employers expect, which tools are core, which are role-specific, and how to structure your learning for real career results.
