About the Role

We're seeking to hire an experienced sourcer to support our talent outreach and strategy for our Forward Deployed Engineering team. You’ll be embedded in the wider FDE recruitment pod - working alongside FDE recruiters, sourcers, and coordination as well as the business leaders for Forward Deployed.

This role is based in London. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week. We offer relocation assistance. Travel up to 50% is required.

In this role you will:

  • Partner with hiring managers across Forward Deployed Engineering to build and improve recruiting processes and develop customized sourcing strategies.

  • Build highly targeted searches that deliver candidate profiles with precision.

  • Craft thoughtful approaches to candidate outreach to engage even the most passive talent.

  • Cultivate relationships with high priority targets over the long-term, including talent research and "mapping."

  • Act as the primary touchpoint for candidates from initial outreach until the onsite interview stage, ensuring an exceptional candidate experience.

  • Utilize non-traditional and creative strategies to discover talent through events, talks, etc.

  • Take a highly organized and data-driven approach to candidate tracking and pipeline health.

  • Represent OpenAI and engage with candidates at conferences and events.

  • Effectively lead and contribute to cross-functional projects.

We’re Seeking:

  • 5+ years of experience sourcing technical sourcing, such as forward deployed engineers, software engineers, machine learning engineers, ai engineers

  • Track record of delivering healthy candidate volume while maintaining a high degree of responsiveness and care to each stakeholder and candidate in the process.

  • A strong track record of hiring top 1% talent.

  • A high level of adaptability in fast-paced, evolving environments—balancing strategic vision with hands-on execution.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders across the globe.

  • A continuous improvement mindset and the ability to evolve processes to meet global hiring needs.

  • Proficiency with ATS and sourcing platforms such as Ashby, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other modern recruitment tools
