Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Marketing Data Analyst to join our innovative team. Sitting in our performance marketing team, you will play a crucial role in leveraging data to drive insights and recommendations for our ecommerce business. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google BigQuery, SQL, and statistical analysis. You must also demonstrate a high level of independence and self-sufficiency, capable of working autonomously to analyze, interpret, and derive actionable insights from ecommerce data.

Responsibilities:

Data Analysis and Interpretation:

  • Utilize GA4, Google BigQuery, and SQL to extract, analyze, and interpret large volumes of data related to user behaviour, website performance, and ecommerce transactions.
  • Develop and implement statistical models to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization.

Insights and Reporting:

Generate actionable insights and present findings to cross-functional teams, providing data-driven recommendations for improving the ecommerce experience.

  • Create and maintain regular reports and dashboards to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and track the impact of digital marketing campaigns.

A/B Testing and Experimentation:

  • Design, implement, and analyze A/B tests to assess the effectiveness of changes to the ecommerce platform.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI teams to optimize user experience based on data-driven insights.

Forecasting and Predictive Modelling:

  • Develop forecasting models to predict customer behaviour, sales trends, and other key ecommerce metrics.
  • Work on predictive modelling projects to anticipate future business needs and challenges.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product management, and IT, to align data science initiatives with business objectives.
  • Communicate complex findings and insights to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in digital ecommerce data science, with a focus on GA4, Google BigQuery, SQL, and statistical analysis.
  • Strong proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis and manipulation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
