We are looking for an experienced Senior DSP Consultant to join our team.

As a Senior Consultant, our clients will look to you for sound judgement and advice for the technology they are seeking to develop. You will also: support the development of new business as a technical leader in the field, design software and signal processing solutions following product requirements, and ultimately be responsible for guiding engineering teams to final delivery.

What we can offer

As part of the Signal Processing Group, you will get to work with a range of clients across wireless, telecoms, audio, and semiconductor – from blue chips to start-ups. Some looking to optimise their existing technologies, and some with a vision for a new or bespoke solution. For some projects we will develop a subsystem for wider integration, other times we are the design authority for the entire system and its delivery.

This is an opportunity to join a creative and collaborative team with a friendly and supportive culture and a passion for solving technical challenges.

No week working with us is the same. Examples of the variety of work you will undertake include:

  • Architecting and implementing software for high performance hardware, from design through to verification and optimisation
  • Contributing to the system design of products that span multiple domains
  • Contributing to IP development to expand and promote group capabilities
  • Providing leadership to engineering teams, nurturing and enabling others to develop their own knowledge and expertise to scale our technical capabilities across the company

Examples of projects we have worked on in the past are:

  • Ultra-reliable communications for satellites
  • IP block acceleration of Voice Activity Detection using custom in-house DSP cores
  • Map based indoor navigation using sensor fusion
  • Next generation commercial radio receiver design
  • Development of the communication system for a fleet of moving bots in a challenging indoor environment

What you can bring

You will be a keen technologist, trusted to drive forward new capabilities and to lead high-performing teams. This will involve working as part of a dynamic team to engage with current and new clients to understand their needs and to develop and present technical proposals for how we can solve their challenges.

You will contribute to the Signal Processing department strategy, planning and activities to grow our business globally. As well as this, you will support our marketing activities as a credible thought-leader to promote our capabilities and encourage new client enquiries.

You will provide technical leadership to multidisciplinary engineering teams alongside programme and commercial peers to deliver high-innovation projects. This will include solution architecture, team leadership, client communication and delivery of technically excellent results.

Aspiring candidates will have some of the following:

  • Significant practical experience of wireless systems engineering and signal processing understanding
  • Ability to define and deliver complex, high-value, innovative projects
  • A strong desire to learn, investigate, and develop new technologies
  • Technical aptitude, intuition, and skills in communicating both technical and non-technical concepts
  • Proven ability to influence at senior management level and to match business needs with technology solutions
  • Ability to co-ordinate and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

Benefits

  • Competitive salary reviewed annually
  • Company profit share
  • Generous pension
  • Hybrid working model
  • Flexible working hours and location
  • 25 days annual leave plus public holidays, with flexibility to carry over / borrow
  • Comprehensive insurance - Life, disability, private healthcare and travel insurance (business & leisure)
  • Enhanced family leave benefit of 13 weeks full-pay parental leave for those that meet qualifying criteria
  • Career development and training opportunities
  • Social committee
  • Discounted train season tickets, through Travel Plan Plus
  • If travelling to Cambridge by train; Free shuttle service to/from Cambridge North train station, through Cambridge Science Park
  • Whilst in the office; Free canteen - breakfast, lunch & refreshments
  • A comprehensive relocation package is available, if applicable

Where to Advertise Machine Learning Jobs in the UK (2026 Guide)

Where to advertise machine learning jobs UK in 2026: the specialist boards and communities that reach ML, MLOps and deep learning engineering talent. The candidate pool is small, highly specialised and in demand across AI labs, financial services, healthcare, autonomous systems and consumer technology simultaneously. Machine learning engineers and researchers move between roles through professional networks, conference communities and specialist platforms — not general job boards where ML roles compete with unrelated software engineering positions for the same audience. This guide, published by MachineLearningJobs.co.uk, covers where to advertise machine learning roles in the UK in 2026, how the main platforms compare, what employers should expect to pay, and what the data says about hiring across different role types.

Machine Learning Jobs UK 2026: What to Expect Over the Next 3 Years

Machine Learning Jobs UK 2026: roles, salaries and the MLOps, LLM and generative AI hiring trends shaping UK ML careers over the next three years. Machine learning has undergone a transformation that few technology disciplines can match. In the space of three years it has moved from a specialism sitting at the edges of most organisations' technology strategies to a capability that sits at the centre of them. The tools have changed, the expectations have shifted, and the range of industries treating machine learning as a core business function — rather than an experimental one — has expanded dramatically. For job seekers, this creates both opportunity and complexity in roughly equal measure. The machine learning jobs market of 2026 is significantly larger than it was three years ago, but it is also significantly more demanding. Employers have developed more sophisticated expectations, the technical bar for specialist roles has risen, and the landscape of tools, frameworks, and architectural patterns that practitioners are expected to know has broadened considerably. The candidates who will thrive over the next three years are those who understand where the discipline is heading — which specialisms are attracting the most investment, which technologies are reshaping what machine learning engineers and researchers are expected to build, and how the definition of a machine learning career is evolving beyond the model-building core toward a much wider range of roles across the full ML lifecycle. This article breaks down what the UK machine learning jobs market is likely to look like through to 2028 — covering the titles emerging right now, the technologies driving employer demand, the skills that will matter most, and how to position your career ahead of the curve.
