We are recruiting on behalf of a specialist education setting in Kidderminster that supports pupils withSevere Learning Difficulties (SLD) and a range of additional complex needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated and nurturing team committed to helping every pupil reach their full potential.

The school provides highly personalised education and therapeutic support, creating an environment where children can develop communication skills, confidence, independence and positive relationships.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils both in and out of the classroom.

Working closely with teachers, therapists and other professionals, you will help create a safe, engaging and supportive learning environment where every achievement is recognised and celebrated.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
  • Assist children with Severe Learning Difficulties and additional complex needs.
  • Help pupils access learning activities and classroom routines.
  • Promote independence, communication and life skills.
  • Support emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Provide personal care support where required.
  • Encourage and celebrate every stage of pupil progress and achievement.

About You

You will ideally have:

  • A genuine desire to support children to achieve their goals and develop independence.
