We are seeking an experienced Pricing Actuary to join a highly successful and growing specialist motor insurer. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping pricing strategy across a diverse portfolio, including private motor, telematics, commercial vehicle and taxi insurance products. Working alongside a talented team of actuaries and data scientists, you will help influence commercial decisions through advanced analytics, predictive modelling and pricing innovation.

In this role, you will develop and enhance statistical and machine learning models to improve risk and profitability predictions, analyse complex datasets to identify growth opportunities, and deliver actionable insights that support business performance. You will also contribute to the ongoing development of pricing capabilities and play an important part in driving innovation across the pricing function.

The ideal candidate will have a background in actuarial, statistical or data science roles and a strong understanding of general insurance pricing. You will be confident using Python for data analysis and predictive modelling, with experience of machine learning techniques and traditional pricing methodologies such as GLMs. Previous UK motor insurance pricing experience is essential, and experience building GBM models would be particularly advantageous.

We are looking for someone who can clearly communicate technical concepts to a range of stakeholders and who has a track record of delivering pricing initiatives that achieve measurable business impact. A proactive, independent approach and strong problem-solving skills are key, along with a genuine enthusiasm for using data and analytics to drive better commercial outcomes. Experience with tools such as Emblem, Radar, Radar Live or Databricks would be beneficial but is not essential.

This opportunity would suit an ambitious pricing professional looking to further develop their technical expertise, influence strategic decision-making and make a tangible impact within a fast-paced and growing organisation.
