The Amazon Payment Acceptance & Experience Team is responsible for how Amazon's customers pay across Amazon's sites and services around the globe. In this role, you will deliver best-in-class customer payment experiences while driving meaningful change in the payments industry — combining deep customer obsession with a forward-looking, AI-native approach to product development.

You will bring your experience to bear on innovative, customer-focused payment solutions that create truly local paying experiences for Amazon's customers. Leveraging AI tools and data-driven insights, you will accelerate discovery, sharpen decision-making, and raise the bar on how we design and iterate on payment experiences. As part of a team making strong progress toward becoming AI-native, you will help shape how we embed intelligent automation and machine learning into the way we build, launch, and operate payment products — not as an afterthought, but as a core part of how we work.

You will partner with fintechs, leading financial institutions, and global payment networks to launch new payment methods that European customers love to use. You will also collaborate with a diverse set of internal and international teams to achieve success. This role places a premium on someone who is effective at simplifying complex problems, identifying areas for innovation through internal and external dependencies, and partnering with cross-functional teams — including engineering — to launch new products and technology at pace and at scale.

Key job responsibilities
As a Product Management Technical (PMT) within the Payments organisation, you will own the end-to-end strategy and execution for launching Local Payment Methods (LPMs) across Amazon's global marketplace. You will define product vision, set measurable goals, and drive cross-functional alignment across engineering, finance, compliance, and business teams to deliver LPM integrations on time and at scale.

You will lead discovery and prioritisation of LPM opportunities by market, partnering with regional stakeholders to assess customer demand, regulatory requirements, and commercial viability. You will author detailed product and technical requirements, manage launch readiness reviews, and establish robust operational standards — including fraud controls, refund workflows, and escalation playbooks — to ensure sustainable, high-quality launches.

You will define and track success metrics (including TPV, PSR, and GMS contribution), synthesise customer and partner feedback to continuously improve the LPM experience, and communicate progress and risks clearly to senior leadership. You will raise the bar on programme standards and mentor junior team members, contributing to a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.

A day in the life
Work with cross-functional teams (including engineering) to develop, launch, and operate solutions that improve customers' paying experiences. Own the roadmap for a discrete payment solution(s), using AI-powered tools to accelerate analysis, surface insights, and drive faster, higher-quality decisions.

Pitch ideas (PRFAQs) and capabilities to senior internal and external decision makers, bringing clarity and conviction to complex, ambiguous problems.

Evaluate and recommend product and service enhancements that improve payment acceptance and the overall customer experience — drawing on both quantitative signals and qualitative customer understanding.

Identify, cultivate, and launch new relationships with payment providers, third-party banks, payment networks, and schemes, helping Amazon stay at the forefront of the evolving payments landscape.

About the team
The Amazon Payment Acceptance & Experience team is at the heart of how hundreds of millions of customers pay on Amazon — across every site, service, and market we operate in. We are responsible for launching Amazon into new countries, bringing new payment methods to life, and defining the strategy for how customers pay on Amazon today and in the future. We work at the intersection of customer experience, technology, and the global payments industry — partnering with fintechs, financial institutions, and payment networks to make paying on Amazon feel effortless, wherever our customers are.

Where to Advertise Machine Learning Jobs in the UK (2026 Guide)

Advertising machine learning jobs in the UK requires a different approach to most technical hiring. The candidate pool is small, highly specialised and in demand across AI labs, financial services, healthcare, autonomous systems and consumer technology simultaneously. Machine learning engineers and researchers move between roles through professional networks, conference communities and specialist platforms — not general job boards where ML roles compete with unrelated software engineering positions for the same audience. This guide, published by MachineLearningJobs.co.uk, covers where to advertise machine learning roles in the UK in 2026, how the main platforms compare, what employers should expect to pay, and what the data says about hiring across different role types.

Machine Learning Jobs UK 2026: What to Expect Over the Next 3 Years

Machine learning has undergone a transformation that few technology disciplines can match. In the space of three years it has moved from a specialism sitting at the edges of most organisations' technology strategies to a capability that sits at the centre of them. The tools have changed, the expectations have shifted, and the range of industries treating machine learning as a core business function — rather than an experimental one — has expanded dramatically. For job seekers, this creates both opportunity and complexity in roughly equal measure. The machine learning jobs market of 2026 is significantly larger than it was three years ago, but it is also significantly more demanding. Employers have developed more sophisticated expectations, the technical bar for specialist roles has risen, and the landscape of tools, frameworks, and architectural patterns that practitioners are expected to know has broadened considerably. The candidates who will thrive over the next three years are those who understand where the discipline is heading — which specialisms are attracting the most investment, which technologies are reshaping what machine learning engineers and researchers are expected to build, and how the definition of a machine learning career is evolving beyond the model-building core toward a much wider range of roles across the full ML lifecycle. This article breaks down what the UK machine learning jobs market is likely to look like through to 2028 — covering the titles emerging right now, the technologies driving employer demand, the skills that will matter most, and how to position your career ahead of the curve.
