Are you ready to join a dynamic team focused on driving our SaaS multi-tenant Crew Management software platform?

THE ROLE

The Power BI Developer will be responsible for creating standardised datasets, reports, and dashboards derived from our SaaS-based, multi-tenant software platform. Collaborating closely with our implementation team and developers, you will manage data, support migrations, and design robust, sustainable datasets to serve multiple clients.

In this role, the ideal candidate will also engage directly with clients to understand their needs, generate innovative solutions, and contribute ideas that enhance our offerings and drive commercial success in the market.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Essential:

  • 3 years of Power BI Desktop Experience including DAX and Power Query/M Language
  • Good knowledge of SQL
  • Strong data experience
  • Excellent data migration & data tooling experience
  • Have strong analytical and software skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal &presentation skills
  • Excellent English skills, both oral and written, and a relevant IT, Product Management or Business Degree, and, or Experience
  • Be adaptable and have a ‘can do’ attitude

Advantageous:

  • Experience of Power BI embedded in a multi-tenanted environment
  • Data engineering
  • Domain knowledge of Energy, Marine, Renewables or highly regulated industries
  • Knowledge of offshore certification, competence and personnel logistics planning
  • Experience of dataflows
  • An understanding of Data Governance
  • Microsoft Azure DevOps
  • Based in North East Scotland

Duties:

  • Identify report and dashboard requirements
  • Consolidate multiple requirements into standard datasets
  • Apply Consistent methodology to datasets
  • Create quality documentation
  • Work with business stakeholders to identify issues to future proof datasets
  • Collaborate to determine customer/business needs and desires
  • Distil feature ideas from epics into user stories, collaborating with technology teams to determine acceptance criteria
  • Work with our Clients to help them migrate, organise, cleanse move their data to our platforms
  • Maintain and prioritise backlog
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to design and prototype new products and features
  • Provide knowledge and understanding of product and feature to other stakeholders
  • Work alongside technical writers to create high quality documentation
  • Contribute to product vision and roadmap
  • Accept/sign-off stories
  • Define non-functional requirements

Experience:

  • Working in a collaborative agile environment with multi-disciplined teams
  • Canvassing users and customers for feedback
  • Experience with defining and building software products
  • Data manipulation
