This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior leadership role where you will shape and scale a data function from strong foundations. With direct exposure to executive leadership and the ability to influence organisation-wide decision making, this role offers significant scope to define strategy, build capability, and drive measurable commercial impact through data.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Head of Data will:

  • Define and deliver the enterprise Data strategy aligned to commercial objectives and growth ambitions
  • Act as a key advisor to senior stakeholders, influencing how data is leveraged as a competitive advantage
  • Build, lead, and develop a multi-disciplinary team across analytics, data science, and business intelligence
  • Drive the evolution from reporting towards predictive and commercially focused insight
  • Establish and scale self-service analytics capabilities across the business
  • Lead the application of advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI to key business areas such as pricing and performance optimisation
  • Partner closely with technology teams to ensure scalable, reliable data platforms and strong data architecture
  • Own and embed data governance frameworks, improving data quality, consistency, and trust across the organisation
  • Translate complex analytical outputs into clear, actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Strong experience leading data, analytics, or data science functions in a commercial environment
  • Proven ability to build and scale high-performing, multidisciplinary teams
  • Expertise across data analytics, machine learning, and business intelligence, with a strong technical foundation including SQL and cloud platforms
  • Experience delivering data-driven transformation, including self-service analytics and advanced insight capabilities
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to translate data strategy into measurable business outcomes
  • Confident stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing senior leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Experience working within data governance frameworks and regulated environments is advantageous
  • Comfortable balancing strategic leadership with hands-on involvement where required
