About the Job

Our people-centred culture, combined with our tech and data expertise, makes us one of the UK's leading technology companies and a great place to start your career as a Data Analyst. Our Data Analysts are data experts within the business. They curate and analyse data that supports key decisions and solutions for our customers, colleagues and consumers. They aren’t just interested in trends; they seek to understand the why and how within the data, using analytical techniques such as hypothesis testing, statistical modelling, and machine learning.

Our Data Analysts are very collaborative, working with a range of disciplines within their teams, including product leads, software engineers, and other data analysts/scientists, to find the best solution.

All of our graduates start their careers in our in‑house academy. We’ll help build your knowledge of the automotive industry, and you don’t have to love cars to work here. Following the academy, you will join one of our product & technology teams and have a dedicated Data Analyst to support you daily in developing the skills and experience key to your role. This will include shadowing, pairing, and gradually taking on independence with your own tasks and projects. You’ll have the opportunity to work on many different analytical problems and undergo training to develop skills key to the role.

You will use a range of tools, including Looker, SQL, dbt, and Python. We provide bespoke internal training courses to support any development needs – there is no need to have prior experience with them.

What we're looking for
  • You’ll be a graduate (or graduating in 2026) in any degree discipline, or hold a level 6 qualification, with a passion for coding, technology and analytics.
  • You should have a basic understanding of (or desire to learn) data analysis concepts, including techniques like regression and hypothesis testing, and be eager to further develop these skills.
  • You’ll have a desire to learn new technologies – a large part of this role involves coding.
  • You'll have experience cleaning, analysing and presenting data. We’d love to hear examples of this in your application.
  • As a digital business, we're constantly evolving, so the ability to adapt to an ever-changing landscape is a must.
Benefits and more

We’re offering a salary of £30,000 plus an additional 10% of your salary, awarded in shares each year. These awarded shares will become yours in yearly instalments over the next three years, and you can choose to either sell them or keep them as shares.

You’ll have 28 days’ holiday per year, in addition to bank holidays and half‑day closures on Christmas and New Year’s Eve.

That’s not all. You’ll be enrolled in our pension scheme, where our standard contributions are 7% and employee contributions are 5%. We also have comprehensive private medical cover, enhanced family leave provisions, a car salary sacrifice scheme, share‑save options, and much more.

We always want to give you the support you need and help prioritise your wellbeing – that’s why we provide access to 24/7 online GP and dentist, as well as specialist support for assisted fertility, gender dysphoria, menopause, period care plans and lots more.

On top of all that, our hybrid model, Connected Working, combines the best of both worlds – office and home working. You’ll have two fixed weekly office days for team collaboration, plus one more day of your choice to suit your work‑life balance. Additionally, we have our remote‑first periods at set times during summer and winter, during which you can work remotely anywhere in the UK and from certain locations abroad.

New Machine Learning Employers to Watch in 2026: UK and Global Companies Driving ML Innovation

Machine learning (ML) has transitioned from a specialised field into a core business capability. In 2026, organisations across healthcare, finance, robotics, autonomous systems, natural language processing, and analytics are expanding their machine learning teams to build scalable intelligent products and services. For professionals exploring opportunities on www.MachineLearningJobs.co.uk , understanding the companies that are scaling, winning investment, or securing high‑impact contracts is crucial. This article highlights the new and high‑growth machine learning employers to watch in 2026, focusing on UK innovators, international firms with significant UK presence, and global platforms investing in machine learning talent locally.

How Many Machine Learning Tools Do You Need to Know to Get a Machine Learning Job?

Machine learning is one of the most exciting and rapidly growing areas of tech. But for job seekers it can also feel like a maze of tools, frameworks and platforms. One job advert wants TensorFlow and Keras. Another mentions PyTorch, scikit-learn and Spark. A third lists Mlflow, Docker, Kubernetes and more. With so many names out there, it’s easy to fall into the trap of thinking you must learn everything just to be competitive. Here’s the honest truth most machine learning hiring managers won’t say out loud: 👉 They don’t hire you because you know every tool. They hire you because you can solve real problems with the tools you know. Tools are important — no doubt — but context, judgement and outcomes matter far more. So how many machine learning tools do you actually need to know to get a job? For most job seekers, the real number is far smaller than you think — and more logically grouped. This guide breaks down exactly what employers expect, which tools are core, which are role-specific, and how to structure your learning for real career results.

What Hiring Managers Look for First in Machine Learning Job Applications (UK Guide)

Whether you’re applying for machine learning engineer, applied scientist, research scientist, ML Ops or data scientist roles, hiring managers scan applications quickly — often making decisions before they’ve read beyond the top third of your CV. In the competitive UK market, it’s not enough to list skills. You must send clear signals of relevance, delivery, impact, reasoning and readiness for production — and do it within the first few lines of your CV or portfolio. This guide walks you through exactly what hiring managers look for first in machine learning applications, how they evaluate CVs and portfolios, and what you can do to improve your chances of getting shortlisted at every stage — from your CV and LinkedIn profile to your cover letter and project portfolio.
