PolyAI automates customer service through lifelike voice assistants that let customers lead a conversation. Our voice assistants make it possible for businesses to deliver outstanding customer service that rivals their human agents. Our customers, which include the world’s leading logos, are expanding how they use our platform, driving automation of critical customer service operations and integrating PolyAI into their daily customer service workflows.

Enterprises trust our conversational AI platform to automate millions of customer interactions every day. Your mission is to define the strategy and lead the developer ecosystem for our new Developer Platform. This includes creating world-class technical content, nurturing a vibrant community of AI builders, and acting as the primary advocate for external developers integrating with our APIs and agent-building tools. We are looking for an impact driven and technical Developer Relations Manager to own the developer journey, driving platform adoption, and establishing PolyAI as the premier destination for Conversational AI developers.

You will lead technical advocacy, mentor builders, and align closely with product, marketing, and engineering teams, translating frontier Agentic AI into intuitive, well-documented, and scalable developer resources. If you are motivated by empowering developers, solving complex integration challenges, and transforming technical platform capabilities into a thriving, community-led ecosystem, we want to meet you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and Lead the Developer Ecosystem Strategy. Establish a winning DevRel strategy and unified developer journey across our core platform APIs, SDKs, and integration points. Define, monitor, and report on key developer success indicators, driving continuous improvement to maximize developer ROI and platform stickiness.
  • Own and Deliver World Class Technical Content. Oversee the entire content lifecycle for developers, from strategic prioritization of topics to the creation of high-quality tutorials, API documentation, code samples, reference architectures, and video guides demonstrating how to build and optimize LLM-powered agents.
  • Be the Voice of Developers. Serve as the principal bridge between the external developer community and internal technical execution. Champion developer needs, translate community feedback into actionable product requirements, and challenge our engineering teams to continuously elevate the developer experience (DevEx).
  • Community Building and Advocacy. Act as the face of PolyAI to the developer community. Host webinars, speak at industry conferences, organize hackathons, and actively nurture technical discussions on platforms like GitHub, Discord, or Stack Overflow to ensure developers feel supported and engaged.
  • Integrate and Optimize Core AI Technology for Builders. Work alongside product teams to ensure our underlying LLM, RAG, and tool-calling pipelines are exposed to developers in a way that is intuitive, scalable, and consistent. Provide hands-on feedback during the development of new platform features.
  • Lead Developer Go-to-Market Strategy. Direct developer-focused Go-to-Market collaboration, including the coordination of API beta programs, developer launch kits, and technical enablement sessions to drive rapid, grassroots platform adoption.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Developer Relations, Technical Evangelism, or Software Engineering, with a strong focus on community engagement and developer experience.
  • Proven experience driving developer adoption and managing technical communities for API-first B2B, or Enterprise SaaS developer platforms at scale.
  • Exceptional ability to use qualitative developer insights and quantitative usage data to define, validate, and evolve a technical advocacy strategy.
  • Demonstrated track record of creating compelling, high-quality technical content (e.g., code repositories, blog posts, architecture diagrams, and technical presentations) that drives developer engagement.
  • Superior communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical AI/ML concepts to both deeply technical audiences and executive leadership.
  • Strong technical background. A Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in software development (particularly with Python, Node.js, and REST/GraphQL APIs).

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience working with conversational AI, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Large Language Models (LLMs), or speech technologies.
  • Previous experience defining, measuring, and moving quantitative success metrics for developer communities or open-source projects.
  • Experience working on a global B2B or Enterprise platform with a significant international developer footprint.
  • Familiarity with enterprise-grade platform integrations, including contact center infrastructure, CRM APIs, and AI agent development frameworks.

We provide a competitive salary range for this role, which is $185,000 - $215,000 depending on level and experience. Please note this range is intended as a guide, not a guarantee. Where to Advertise Machine Learning Jobs in the UK (2026 Guide)

Advertising machine learning jobs in the UK requires a different approach to most technical hiring. The candidate pool is small, highly specialised and in demand across AI labs, financial services, healthcare, autonomous systems and consumer technology simultaneously. Machine learning engineers and researchers move between roles through professional networks, conference communities and specialist platforms — not general job boards where ML roles compete with unrelated software engineering positions for the same audience. This guide, published by MachineLearningJobs.co.uk, covers where to advertise machine learning roles in the UK in 2026, how the main platforms compare, what employers should expect to pay, and what the data says about hiring across different role types.

New Machine Learning Employers to Watch in 2026: UK and Global Companies Driving ML Innovation

Machine learning (ML) has transitioned from a specialised field into a core business capability. In 2026, organisations across healthcare, finance, robotics, autonomous systems, natural language processing, and analytics are expanding their machine learning teams to build scalable intelligent products and services. For professionals exploring opportunities on www.MachineLearningJobs.co.uk , understanding the companies that are scaling, winning investment, or securing high‑impact contracts is crucial. This article highlights the new and high‑growth machine learning employers to watch in 2026, focusing on UK innovators, international firms with significant UK presence, and global platforms investing in machine learning talent locally.

How Many Machine Learning Tools Do You Need to Know to Get a Machine Learning Job?

Machine learning is one of the most exciting and rapidly growing areas of tech. But for job seekers it can also feel like a maze of tools, frameworks and platforms. One job advert wants TensorFlow and Keras. Another mentions PyTorch, scikit-learn and Spark. A third lists Mlflow, Docker, Kubernetes and more. With so many names out there, it’s easy to fall into the trap of thinking you must learn everything just to be competitive. Here’s the honest truth most machine learning hiring managers won’t say out loud: 👉 They don’t hire you because you know every tool. They hire you because you can solve real problems with the tools you know. Tools are important — no doubt — but context, judgement and outcomes matter far more. So how many machine learning tools do you actually need to know to get a job? For most job seekers, the real number is far smaller than you think — and more logically grouped. This guide breaks down exactly what employers expect, which tools are core, which are role-specific, and how to structure your learning for real career results.
