AI Engineer

• Design & implement AI features Build LLM-powered chat, search, summarisation, classification, extraction, agents, and multimodal interfaces.
• Model selection & testing Compare hosted/open models for quality, latency, cost, privacy, and deployment needs.
• Prompt engineering & orchestration Create robust prompt templates, conversational memory, tool-use logic, and RAG pipelines.

AI Engineer

• Build evaluation frameworks Create eval sets, automated scoring, regression tests, and release criteria to ensure reliability.
• Integrate AI into production systems Connect models to APIs, data systems, authentication, vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector), and cloud platforms.
• Operate & monitor AI systems Track quality, safety, hallucinations, drift, latency, and cost; troubleshoot failures and iterate.
• Cross-functional collaboration Work with product managers, backend/frontend engineers, data engineers, ML engineers, UX, and security teams.
