Contract Python AWS Engineer

Outside IR35

Fully Remote | £450 - £475 day | 9 Months

Are you a Python Engineer with strong FastAPI and AWS CDK skills seeking your next contract opportunity? Join a global analytics firm specializing in critical insights for major organizations worldwide. We're looking for a seasoned Python Software Engineer to enhance their infrastructure using AWS CDK and optimize FastAPI applications.

This role offers a chance to collaborate with a mission driven team, directly impacting the scalability and quality of key data products.

Tech Stack:

Python Core language for application development
FastAPI with either Flask or Django for API frameworks for web services
AWS CDK experience with Infrastructure as code for AWS deployments
Docker Containerization for local development
Prefect or Airflow or Dagster experience for pipeline orchestration frameworksWhat you'll be doing:

Develop and optimize FastAPI applications integrated with AWS CDK infrastructure.
Collaborate closely with developers, subject matter experts, and data scientists.
Implement scalable solutions for handling large datasets in cloud based environments.
Automate data workflows across the analytics platform using pipeline orchestration frameworks.
Provide guidance on best practices for AWS CDK, FastAPI, and modern web application development.Requirements:

Several years of commercial Python development experience.
Confident understanding of API services and frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, and Django.
Experience with AWS services, deployment processes, and infrastructure as code approaches AWS CDK, Terraform.
Comfortable working with Docker containers for local development.
Familiarity with pipeline orchestration frameworks such as Prefect, Airflow, or Dagster.
Excellent communication skills with a collaborative mindset.Contract Details:

Location: Fully remote UK based candidates only.
Length: 9 months.
Rate: £450 to £465 per day Outside IR35.
