Whats the role?


CAVU is continuing its digital and data transformation, and were looking for aData Engineerto help shape the next phase.


You'll be joining a centralised, expert data team thats moving fast towards a modern, event-driven architecture. Our work underpins critical business decisions across product, commercial, and operations and this role will have a big say in what we build next.


Youll be responsible for designing and building robust, scalable data pipelines using PySpark, SQL and Databricks enabling our analytics, BI and data science colleagues to unlock real value across the business.


This is a brilliant opportunity for someone whos passionate about data quality, modern engineering practices, and continuous learning.

About You


Youre a problem-solver who enjoys working collaboratively and is comfortable experimenting with new tools and approaches. You have a strong foundation in data engineering and are ready to grow your expertise further especially with tools like Databricks.


Heres what will help you thrive in this role:


Essential experience:


25 years in data engineering or a related field




Strong PySpark and advanced SQL skills




Practical experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines in Databricks




Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control practices


Nice to have:


Experience using Databricks Asset Bundles (DAB)




Working knowledge of GCP and/or Azure in multi-cloud environments




Familiarity with BigQuery or deployment automation tools like Harness
