Scope:

Reporting to the EMEA Head of Commercial Data and as part of a small Data Governance team, this role supports CooperVision’s vision of executing a single enterprise data strategy. The successful candidate will personally be responsible for the successful execution of critical data maintenance tasks and analysis as well as supporting the markets as they carry out their own data management activities in alignment with the global data management framework. This role requires excellent communication skills, an understanding of how data and data maintenance supports commercial processes and business reporting with the technical skills to operate data environments and data quality.

Job Summary:

CooperVision has outlined a clear strategy to grow and establish itself as the #1 contact lens provider in Europe and the wider EMEA region, becoming a $1bn business by 2026. Reporting to the EMEA Head of Commercial Data, this role exists to ensure the integrity of the data assets created post OneVision deployment is maintained. CooperVision’s data structures and systems are more integrated than at any time before and expertise in Oracle Trading Community Architecture (TCA) is required at a regional level perform and lead markets through data maintenance activity.

Essential Functions & Accountabilities:

  • Provide a focal point for up to 28 EMEA markets to ensure country data maintenance supports regional and global business process needs.
  • Ensuring data ServiceNow ticket Service Level Agreements (SLAs) of 48 hours are adhered to.
  • Working with the EMEA Head of Commercial Data, ensure that new customer set-up follows the new customer data set-up process for golden and non-golden data e.g. creation of an account and account relationships, establishing account bill to / ship to relationship.
  • Working with the EMEA Commercial Data Lead ensure that the maintenance of existing customer records adheres to global data standards e.g. data to enrich existing customer attributes, managing inactive records, movements of customers to new customer models.
  • Support the region and work with the global team to develop and evolve customer data management including identification of new customer data frameworks that accurately represent the way CooperVision engages with its customers.
  • Additional accountabilities include: maintaining contact data in SalesForce CRM, EMEA data changes to SalesForce Apttus accounts, Customer/Finance data for non-golden set up relating to products and pricing and supporting data governance of distribution data in JDA.
  • Anticipated role breakdown: 90% data analysis and management, 10% personal development


Travel:

This role can be based anywhere in the UK or Europe and travel will be required depending on the needs of the project or depending on the needs of the Commercial Operations & Strategy function:

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

The successful candidate will have a data management and analytics background with a knowledge of information technology systems and tools.

  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent data manipulation skills using SQL, Python and Excel
  • Good knowledge of key commercial processes
  • Good knowledge of how systems and data support key commercial processes
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and partnering skills
  • English language - Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of relevant applications such as Sales Force, eCommerce applications, big data solutions, and data management and linkage tools.


Work Environment:

  • Desk based – and expected to combine office working with home working
  • Prolonged screen use
  • Onsite – with internal flexible working policy


Experience:

  • Prior experience/expertise with Customer Master data, Oracle TCA structure, SalesForce (SFDC) and Manufacturing & Distribution using JDA is a plus.
  • Experience of data maintenance and analysis in MDM technology (preferably Oracle)


Education:

Bachelor’s degree in information technology related discipline preferred
