You’ll be someone who is bothcomfortable working proactively and managing your own tasks, aswell as confident collaborating with others and communicatingregularly with senior managers, directors, and BDO’s partners tohelp businesses effectively. You’ll be encouraged to identify anddraw attention to opportunities for enhancing our delivery andproviding additional services to organisations we work with. You’llbe joining our team of experts within the Quantitative Risk andValuations Advisory, and you will be responsible for managing adedicated portfolio. This role will focus on retail and corporatecredit risk provided expert advice in scorecard methods, internalratings-based models, model validation, as well as UK and Europeanregulatory standards. Our team is work together in collaboration todeliver a variety of assignment and you’ll work closely supportingDirectors and Partners. You’ll also help to further grow theoffering contributing towards marketing and business developmentinitiatives. You’ll be someone with - Strong professional interestin the fields of retail and corporate credit risk, scorecardmethods, internal ratings-based models, model validation, as wellas UK and European regulatory standards underpinning these areas. -Significant credit risk experience gained ideally from a majorfinancial institution, another professional services firm, or acredit ratings agency. Valuation experience will be an advantage. -An interest in applying tools from finance, mathematics, and datascience to provide pragmatic and robust solutions to real-worldproblems. - Strong knowledge of mathematics and statistics asapplied to finance and credit risk. Hands on experience in creditrisk modelling or the valuation of financial products. - A master’sdegree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineeringor Computer Science from a reputable university. - Desirableprevious credit risk modelling experience or the building and / orvalidating credit risk models obtained from within a bank or acredit ratings agency. - Some programming skills in a high-levellanguage (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB, Excel VBA) and/or experiencewith econometric software packages (e.g., STATA, SAS).
