Trainee Football Coach

Based in the vibrant world of sports teams and clubs, our mission is to nurture young talents and promote sports participation among children and young people. As a trainee, you'll be mentored by experienced coaches who are dedicated to fostering growth, learning, and inclusivity.

Tasks

• Assist lead coaches in planning and executing training sessions for youth football teams, ensuring all activities align with NLP Sports' mission and values.
• Provide support during matches and tournaments, including setting up equipment, organizing team logistics, and offering guidance to players as needed.
• Participate in regular coach development programs and workshops to enhance coaching skills and stay updated on best practices in youth sports coaching.
• Promote a positive and inclusive team environment by encouraging teamwork, respect, and communication among players, parents, and staff.
• Conduct one-on-one and group feedback sessions with players to help them improve their skills and understanding of the game, fostering personal growth and development.

Requirements

• Passion for sports and fostering youth development in a community setting.
• Basic understanding of football coaching techniques and willingness to learn.
• Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members.
• Commitment to promoting inclusivity and diversity within sports activities.
• Completion of or willingness to undergo enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services (DBS) check.

NLP Sports In the Community’s key aims includes to increase sports participation among children and young people everywhere. In addition to making sport participation more available, we aim to educate and open more pathways for individuals to succeed be it competitively or as a tutor or coach across multiple pathways. NLP Sports provide a range of sports activities in a variety of settings, all of which are managed by coaches who have undertaken enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services (DBS) checks.
