What the job involves

As our Three Waters Data Analyst, you’ll play a key role in managing and improving the accessibility, quality, and use of asset data and information. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external service providers to support strategic planning, operational performance, and regulatory reporting.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Support the development of a comprehensive data and analytics roadmap and strategy.
  • Coordinate collation of three waters activities data for key agency reporting.
  • Ensuring data quality through standards, audits, and continuous improvement.
  • Creating visualisations and insights to inform decision-making.
  • Working with other data users, engineers, and business teams to understand needs, define requirements and implement solutions.
  • Provide input on data based decision making for operations, renewable and capital investments of the three waters business unit.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience (e.g. mathematics, geography, GIS, computer science, or engineering).
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Advanced computer and data management skills.
  • A detail-focused approach.
  • Ability to analyse complex data sets and communicate findings effectively.
  • Experience in a similar data analyst role is preferred.
