Job Description

Becoming part of theUK team in our Technology Advisory capabilitywill present new opportunities for you to make a positive impact as we embark on securing major international accounts in our top 20 clients.

This will mean working with our FTSE100 clients and beyond on a wide range of advisory projects, bringing deep business and technology expertise to help address opportunities and challenges across their organisations.

Wavestone has a significant and growing capability inStrategy and Architecture, that is in high demand from our clients. Our clients trust us to tailor advisory engagements toaid with some of their most complex technology problems, and as a result we are growing our architecture service line to be able to respond to the increasing breadth and complexity of their solution landscapes.

We are looking for talented and experienced Architecture Management Consultantsacross various levels of seniority that are confident and capable of being a key trusted advisor to clients from the outset –Managers,Senior ManagersorAssociate Partners– to join our team leading impactful engagements encompassing (but not limited to):

Technology Strategy & Architecture: Analysing client and customer needs and developing technology roadmaps and business cases that support movement from an as-is to to-be state to meet defined business outcomes for our clients.Technology Driven Transformation: Working as a key technical lead, or as a workstream owner, on complex technology transformations.Enterprise Architecture Augmentation:Acting as part of our clients’ architecture teams to provide added capacity or expertise, and/or to mature their own architecture functions.Technology Lifecycle Management:Working on specific challenges around upgrade or risk management of our clients.

As a senior leader in architecture, your key responsibilities will cover client delivery, business development, people development, and key contribution to our thought leadership:

Client engagement lead:Managing strategy and architecture engagements with our clients, responsible for the day to day running of the engagements, including developing strategic recommendations and guidance, and ensure the highest quality service for our clients, and likely acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders.
 Business development:Be a subject matter lead, and lead and support salesactivity to include full lifecycle from pre-sales support, identification of cyber opportunities & scope the delivery phase of engagements. 
Thought leadership & proposition ownership– Being a key voice in our architecture community and externally, developing architecture related propositions, approaches to common client challenges, sharing knowledge, and creating thought leadership and marketing materials that support sales efforts.
People development:Act as an example and go-to for more junior members of the team, by sharing knowledge, mentoring, and coaching team members and leading by example. Possibly provide line management, and career development directly as part of our career development manager framework.
Maintain expertise:Stay current with the market, most especially in different technologies, platforms, and solutions that are relevant to client challenges or needs.

Whilst we work across different sectors, we are particularly interested in speaking to people with a background on one or more of the following sectors: Financial Services (especially Insurance and Wealth & Asset Management), Life Sciences, Energy & Utilities, and Manufacturing.

Qualifications

Whilst we do not expect you to meet every criterion, we would like strong foundations in technology led transformation and relevant experience across a significant majority of the below for:

Significantconsulting experience, client-facing stakeholder management skills, or equivalent tenure in relevant industries (FS, Insurance, Energy & Utilities, Pharma & Lifesciences etc.).Demonstratable proficiency in technology strategy and architecturehaving been responsible for strategic technology roadmaps and/or enterprise architecture as part of previous work Technical understanding and experience of working onone or multiple Architecture domain areas- Business, Data, Application, Integration, Infrastructure & Security.Familiarity with one or more common enterprise application stacks (for example ERP or CRM)with an understanding of the business problems and capabilities that these typically solve forFamiliarity with one or more of the hyperscale cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)Knowledge of emerging efficiency driving technologiessuch as AI, Machine Learning, and/or intelligent automation Proficiency inleadingstrategic Transformation Programmes and strong technical acumen enhancingadvisory credibility.Ability to manage complex programmes and projects, ensuring effective transformational leadership.Proven aptitude inbusiness development, encompassing account planning, pitches, and proposals.

Your Key Abilities:

Exceptional interpersonal skills spanning organizational levels, including ability to present to executive level stakeholders. Leadership in team management, junior staff development, and coaching. Strategic technology leadership, able to understand complex business problems in context of technology impacts and action needed. Crafting impactful presentations and high-quality reports that can frame complex options, recommendations, and required decisions for client stakeholders.

Desirable Qualifications

Architecture– TOGAF, BCSPlatforms– Any certifications in relation to SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, SalesforceCloud– Any certification across the common cloud providers (AWS, Azure. GCP) etc.Change Delivery– Agile PM, Scaled Agile, SCRUM Master, APM, PMP, PrinceService Management- ITIL v 3 or 4 focus with experience of working in one or more of Service Strategy, Service Design, Service Transition, Service Operations, and Continual Service Improvement

Note: Mandatory 2-3 days per week in Wavestone office / client site during probation.
