This is a Co-founder Opportunity – Read This First

• This is aco-founder/founding team role with significant equity (up to 50/50). It isequity-onlyuntil we secure pre-seed funding (targeted Q1 2026).
• Requires an initial part-time commitment (~20 hrs/week), with the intention to full-time post-funding (with salary)
• Ideally, you are available to join in-person in Cambridge, UK, for a University of Cambridge Acceleration program: August 25 - September 25, 2025. (financial support can be discussed).

The Opportunity: Build the Future of Financial Access

Our startup is on a mission to dismantle financial invisibility and create a truly inclusive credit ecosystem. Millions worldwide are locked out of fair financial services because outdated credit bureaus fail to see their true worth. We're changing that.

We are building a next-generation credit data platform using AI and user-consented smart data (Open Banking, gig income, rent payments, etc.). Our core solution includes:

• The Financial Passport:A secure, user-controlled mobile data wallet.
• An AI-Powered Inference Engine:Generating real-time, accurate financial insights beyond traditional scores.

We're moving from ideation to MVP development (targeting Q4 2025) and are backed by programs like Barclays Eagle Labs Funding Readiness Program, Founders @ Cambridge, and King’s College. This is your chance to get in on the ground floor, co-create a solution to a massive global problem, and fundamentally shape a company poised for impact.

Who we are looking for

You Must Have:

• Proven experience as a Software Engineer and/or Data Scientist who has shipped complex products/systems
• An academic background (e.g., Undergraduate, Master's, or PhD) in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or a similar quantitative field from a leading university
• Strong ability in backend development and data engineering/architecture.
• A solid understanding of ML/AI principles and a vision for their real-world application.
• A startup mindset: You thrive in ambiguity, solve problems proactively, own outcomes, and adapt quickly.
• Burning passion for using technology to drive financial inclusion and make a tangible positive impact.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with a low ego; you value teamwork.

Bonus If You Have:

• Experience in Fintech, especially lending, credit scoring, or Open Banking.
• A background in credit risk modelling
• Experience with mobile application development (concept to launch).
• Been a founder or very early employee at a startup before.
• Direct experience with secure, scalable systems for sensitive financial data.

Your Mission as Technical Co-Founder

As technical Co-Founder, you will lead building our technology from day zero, growing into our technical leader. This is about vision, execution, and ownership.

• Architect, build, and scale Aizen’s core backend, APIs, and secure data infrastructure. This is your system to design.
• Design and implement robust data pipelines for diverse financial data sources – integrity, security, and AI-readiness are paramount.
• Lead the development of our initial product: an app-based platform for gig workers, focusing on data aggregation (1-2 key sources), a prototype data wallet, and generating early, actionable insights.
• Collaborate intensely on product strategy, technical roadmap, and business hypotheses. Your voice is critical in every decision.
• Define our engineering culture and be instrumental in hiring and mentoring as we grow.
• Bring your ideas, challenge assumptions, and help us build something truly groundbreaking.

Key technical requirements

While deep expertise in every single area isn't expected from day one, you'll lead our strategy and initial build across:

• Scalable Backend Systems:Architecting and building our server-side logic and APIs (e.g., Python, Node.js, Go, or your preferred robust stack).
• Data Engineering & MLOps:Creating and managing data pipelines (ETL/ELT) and the infrastructure to support our AI engine.
• Mobile Application Frameworks:Guiding the development of our "Financial Passport" app.
• AI/Machine Learning:Applying ML for predictive modeling in credit and financial wellness.
• Cloud Architecture & Security:Leveraging cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) for a secure, scalable infrastructure.

About the role & commitment

• Role:Technical Co-Founder
• Time:Initial ~20 hours/week part-time, transitioning to full-time after successful pre-seed
• Significant Equity:A substantial co-founder equity stake, up to 50/50, negotiable based on your experience, commitment, and pivotal role.
• Location:Remote first (UK or Brazil preferred for collaboration). In-person for Cambridge acceleration program (Aug 25 - Sep 25, 2025) is ideal.
• Compensation:Equity-only until pre-seed funding. This reflects your co-founder status and the early-stage nature of our venture.
