Technical Business AnalystLondon Overview An industry-leading financial institution is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to join the Data Acquisition team in a wider Markets Program Execution & Transformation team. As a Technical Business Analyst in this dynamic group, you will collaborate with various business units and functions to implement regulatory and cross-business transformational projects. Key words: Python, SQL, PySpark, Hadoop, Big Data, Data Warehouse, ETL, Hive, Impala Details Day rate: £600-£650/day - Inside IR35 Start date: ASAP Duration: end date 30/09/2025 (highly likely to be extended) Hybrid working - 3 days/week in the office Key responsibilities of a Technical Business Analyst : Develop PySpark and SQL queries for data analysis and reconciliation Provide recommendations to enhance reporting processes Contribute to Hadoop environment architecture and design discussions Translate requirements into design and code Provide technical leadership on complex, high-impact projects Develop project artifacts (BRDs, FRDs, test planning documents) Manage individual project responsibilities and timelines Required Skills and Experience for a Technical Business Analyst: 5 years of Technical Business Analysis experience Expertise in SQL, Python, and Spark Familiarity with Hadoop / Big Data domain Knowledge of Data Warehouse/ETL design and development methodologies Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure Self-starter with independent work capabilities Preferred Skills: Investment banking or financial services experience Exposure to Hive, Impala, and Spark ecosystem technologies Experience with Big Data pipelines and architectures If your experience matches the role, click apply and let's catch up McGregor Boyall is an equal opportunity employer and do not discriminate on any grounds.
