Sr Software Engineering Manager, AWS Analytics Experience

AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (IoT), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

The Responsibilities:

1. Translate functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture, design, and extensible code
2. Be an advocate of industry best practices to produce reliable, fault-tolerant, and dependable code
3. Code and test complex system modules; develop and leverage frameworks to be effective and efficient
4. Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews to maintain our high development standards
5. Own system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance
6. Collaborate and influence other teams to deliver and operate large scale, distributed services in the cloud
7. Mentor other engineers, defining our challenging technical culture, and helping to build a fast-growing team

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

1. 10+ years of engineering experience
2. 5+ years of engineering team management experience
3. 10+ years of planning, designing, developing, and delivering consumer software experience
4. Experience partnering with product or program management teams
5. Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects, and development teams in an Agile environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. Experience partnering with product and program management teams
2. Experience designing and developing large scale, high-traffic applications
