Salary & Benefits: Up to £73,855, dependent on experience, a company car lease/allowance scheme, annual incentive related bonus (up to 10% of annual salary), private health care, attractive pension scheme (Up to 10% company contribution), life assurance cover of 4 times pensionable salary and 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays and a wellness day. We have an exciting opportunity for a Solutions Architect – Cloud Infrastructure to join the Technology team at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers. Could this be you?

Where you fit in:
The infrastructure Cloud Architect should possess excellent knowledge of cloud technologies from both a hardware (provisioning) and software (consumption) perspective. The Infrastructure Cloud Architect should have experience of working with multiple cloud platforms such as MS Azure, AWS, GCP and SAP BTP. The Infrastructure Cloud Architect should ideally have experience of integrating multiple cloud platforms across both Public and Private cloud instances. The following demonstrable architectural experience is required.
What skills & qualifications you will need:
- Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Experience in using structured Architecture Models (e.g. TOGAF)
- Deep understanding of AI algorithms, data engineering, and the Azure cloud computing platform
- Solid knowledge of Azure services and tools related to AI (e.g. Azure Machine Learning, Azure Databricks, Azure Cognitive Services, and Azure Bot Service)
- Architectural experience across multiple cloud platforms e.g. MS Azure, AWS, GCP, SAP BTP
- Experience of working with Public, Private & Hybrid Cloud Architectures
- Experience of key Cloud Management Principles & Tools
- Detailed architectural knowledge covering core cloud platform subjects:
- Cloud Compute, Virtualisation & Elastic Computing
- Cloud Storage (Object/Blob, Block & File)
- Machine Learning & AI
- Virtual Networking, VNETs, VPCs, Express Route Direct, Connect etc
- Availability Zones
- Scale up v Scale out
- Scripting and Automation, Ansible / DevOps
- Experience of IaaS (including networking, monitoring and data recovery aspects), PaaS / Serverless Computingand SaaS
- Experience of Cloud Network Design
- Experience of Cloud Security Principles & Cloud Adoption Frameworks
- Experience of SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) Architecture
- Should possess a Cloud Architecture Certification
