Sector Experience Previous experience in Financial/Banking sector (preferable not definitive) Previous experience of working in Data & Analytics teams (important) Requirement of Role Produce High level solution designs using existing and new solution patterns (Primary responsibility) Work with Enterprise architects to develop new and refine existing patterns Evaluate design options and obtain agreement on design decisions with stakeholders. Interrogate work reception requests and work with business counterparts to identify requirements. Support in the production of estimates for the work request. Partner with Infrastructure architects to obtain input on their Infrastructure Design Present High level solution Designs at various design authorities and obtains governance approvals. Partner with platform colleagues to produce low-level designs. Provide design assurance to build and test communities from approved designs Platform/Technology skills Experience in designing streaming solution using: Messaging tools such as KAFKA (Important) Change data capture tools such as IBM infosphere, Oracle Goldengate (Important) Pipeline data processing tools such as Streamsets, Apache NiFi, KStreams,KSQLDB (Important) NoSQL technologies such as MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB (important) Container technologies such Kubernetes. Experience of using above technologies in both On-prem and cloud-based designs. Experience of migration from on-premises to cloud hosted projects and programmes Experience of designing solutions with high resilience and always on capabilities. Must have a good understanding of big data technologies such as Hadoop, Teradata etc and database technologies such as DB2, Oracle etc(important) Experience in work within PaaS environments or Federated delivery models Certifications TOGAF (Important) Archimate (Preferred) One of AWS certified Solution architect or GCP certified solution architect or Azure certified Solution architect (Important).
