SLAM Research Engineer
Oxford, UK (Hybrid, 3+ days onsite per week)
IC Resources is seeking a SLAM Research Engineer (Senior option available) with key strengths in Simultaneous localization and mapping to join our client's team in Oxford, UK. The successful candidate will work on cutting-edge spatial AI solutions, contributing to the development and enhancement of 3D localisation and mapping technologies.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop 3D localisation and mapping algorithms
Develop real-time software in C++
Essential Experience:
PhD with post-doc research in Robot Perception, SLAM or related
MSc and 2+ years' industry experience as a Robotics Engineer or Computer Vision Engineer developing SLAM (simultaneous localization and mapping) systems
Strengths in C++ and ROS.
Desired Experience:
Experience with LiDAR, vision sensors, GPS, or IMUs.
Solid understanding of SLAM and Spatial AI algorithms and tools, including neural network training and 3D reconstruction techniques like meshes or NeRF.
