The Role
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to take a lead role in the design, build and maintenance of our market data environment and associated analytics. This hands-on position will attract those who are comfortable working with complex architectures and are keen to apply their development and problem-solving skills in a practical setting.
The successful candidate will work alongside Pricing Quants and Risk Strats to productionise new data, take ownership of technical projects and follow a proactive approach to service enhancements.
Responsibilities:
Develop, support and productionise new data and analytics which are integral to TradingHub's products Develop a confident understanding of financial markets and how market data is used within our products Research and development of strategic data storage and processing for large data sets Utilise our in-house big data language for large-scale modelling and analysis Collaborating with internal stakeholders to solve and understand critical production issues Develop an excellent understanding of TradingHub’s key products
Requirements
Main Skills/Competencies:
Proficiency with C#, C++ or another object-oriented programming language Experience or keen interest in capital markets trading, fixed income, market risk Good knowledge of database design and data structures Proficiency with SQL-related technologies Knowledge of AWS such as ECS, S3, DynamoDB Evidence of exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills High attention to detail and ability to work on multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously Proactive and curious mindset, with accountability as a core personal value Prior experience with data management tools such as Airflow or Dagster is desirable
