Schedule:Permanent, 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm

Experience Level:Due to the nature of the role, a minimum of 3 years relevant experience is preferred.

We’re on the lookout for a Senior Technical Product Manager who can help us shape the future of sustainable energy solutions. Your contributions will be pivotal in ensuring GivEnergy remains at the forefront of the energy storage industry.

You’ll have the exciting opportunity to define the roadmap, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive innovation that aligns with our mission; to make sustainable energy accessible and affordable to all!

Who Are We?

GivEnergy are Britain's market leading manufacturer of domestic & commercial energy storage solutions. We specialise in smart, internet connected inverters and battery systems that allow our customers to store their renewable/cheap-rate energy for any-time consumption.

Our products drive huge energy savings for our customers while giving them the tools to reduce their carbon footprint through renewable storage, minimising peak grid demand and allowing them to use cheaper, greener energy at any time of day.

Our current customer base is highly technical, with many customers leveraging our market leading Public API to optimise their systems in increasingly clever ways.

We have recently added Smart Plugs and a smart, fully integrated EV Charger to our line-up giving our customers unprecedented control of their energy consumption, bills, and impact on the environment.

While we're experiencing hypergrowth (500% year-on-year), with no sign of slowing down, we're committed to investing in newer, smarter hardware and software solutions that can help our customers extract even more efficiencies from our hardware. This is why we need YOU!

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of customer use cases to inform roadmaps that directly address customer wants/needs.
  • Stay abreast of market trends, new technologies, and regulatory frameworks to inform smart, commercial decision-making.
  • Product Enhancement; work closely with our Head of Product, developers, and senior stakeholders to define and prioritise product features and improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine, plan, and release enabling firmware.
  • Contribute to the development of product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
  • Conduct competitive analysis to identify opportunities for differentiation and innovation.
  • Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation.
  • Generate regular reports and presentations to communicate findings and progress to stakeholders.
  • Write User Stories and detailed technical Acceptance Criteria.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams as a mid-level or senior product manager.
  • Experience writing technical requirements, documentation, and NFRs.
  • A strong technical background with exposure to big data, embedded systems, and the energy sector.
  • Sector experience is desired, but not essential.
  • An Agile evangelist. You recognise the merit of shipping small solutions to big problems before delivering fast iterations informed by customer feedback to hone the feature or proposition.
  • Excellent project management skills with a track record of successful product delivery.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards in the energy storage industry is a plus.

Why Work With Us?

  • Be part of a fast-growing, innovative company at the forefront of the renewable energy sector.
  • Work with a dynamic and supportive team committed to sustainability and excellence.
  • Competitive salary, performance-based incentives, and opportunities for professional development.
  • The chance to make a meaningful impact by supporting installers in driving the UK’s transition to clean energy.
  • Cycle to Work and EV Schemes.*
  • Reduced rate vehicle charging at our Head Office.
  • Celebrate your birthday with an additional paid day off.
