About the Team
The Data Platform team is responsible for providing Rapid7 stakeholders with timely, credible, democratized and integrated data solutions to gain insights and scale the business. The Product Analytics function supports analytical tooling & processes, quality data models, and actionable metrics to empower Rapid7 Moose to make data-driven decisions and measure customer outcomes.

About the Role
The Product Analytics team is growing as we help accelerate the business in close partnership with our product teams. We are seeking an aspiring data analyst to flourish and grow within our team. The ideal candidate has a solid foundational understanding of data analysis and relational databases with a passion for sharing their knowledge and creating engaging training resources to educate others.

In this role, you will:

Lead strategic analytics projects end to end, from requirements definition, to data modeling, to visualization

Collaborate with team members and business partners to collect business requirements, define successful analytics outcomes, and design & deliver action-oriented dashboards to support strategic company initiatives

Partner with other members of the data team on broader data quality & governance initiatives

Drive engagement with our analytics community at Rapid7 by sharing best practices, community resources, and creating engaging enablement material

Assist with onboarding users and other administration tasks in Tableau

Assist with Tableau office hours to support developers across Rapid7

The skills you’ll bring include:

Working knowledge of SQL

Experience with relational databases and business intelligence tooling - Tableau preferred

Strong work ethic, resiliency, desire to learn, organizational skills and self-motivation

Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and lead projects independently

Agile mindset & iterative approach to developing deliverables

Sharp business and interpersonal skills; Should be able to effectively communicate status and escalate blockers

Be a team-player! Our team has a nice balance between independent and collaborative work

5+ years of experience in a data-focused role is preferred 

Prior experience working in the cybersecurity space preferred

Experience working with SaaS technologies like Snowflake, Tableau, etc preferred

BS in Analytics, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, Computer Science or another quantitative field or equivalent experience
