Piper Maddox is proud to be representing one of the world's largest Power System providers to find a Senior Power Systems Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis. The role involves collaborating with the Power Systems Engineering Manager to provide large-scale power and propulsion systems for an ongoing Marine project. Responsibilities include managing the design and testing processes of power systems, ensuring seamless delivery across all project phases. This encompasses areas such as defining equipment specifications, auxiliary systems, testing, integrations and comprehensive reporting.As a Senior Power Systems Engineer, you will:* Conduct detailed power system studies and analyses utilising advanced tools like MATLAB, DigSilent, or eTAP.* Engage in system design, equipment specification, and provide support across testing, validation, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance phases.* Prepare high-quality technical documentation with clarity and precision.* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, international standards, and applicable classification rules for power system designs.Experience we are looking for:* Proven knowledge and experience in systems and equipment, particularly within industrial, marine, or defense sectors.* A solid understanding of power conversion technologies and associated systems.* Strong problem-solving abilities, a proactive mindset, and the drive to achieve ambitious goals.* The ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.* Knowledge of engineering lifecycle processes is advantageous.* Eligibility for UK security clearance at SC level and sole UK nationality.This opportunity can offer attractive compensation including a competitive base salary, a 10% bonus scheme (with the ability to over-achieve), hybrid working, market leading pension, as well as others.
