Lead Marketing Data Scientist / Advanced Analyst


Up to 90000 / / Liverpool


Forward Role is working with a fast-growing ecommerce / retail scale-up based in Liverpool who are seeking a highly skilled Lead Marketing Data Scientist to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the heart of a business scaling rapidly with huge influence over marketing strategy media spend and product forecasting.


As the Lead Marketing Data Scientist you will play a pivotal role in translating complex data into actionable business insight. Youll be responsible for analysing media budgets / spend building predictive models and delivering Marketing Mix Models (MMM) to understand ROI and guide decision-making. Youll also forecast product demand to support operational and commercial planning.


This is a highly visible role working across multiple teams requiring a confident dynamic individual who can present findings to senior leadership and be confident in a boardroom.


Role & Responsibilities
Analyse and optimise spend across Google Ads Meta and other digital channels
Develop and maintain MMM and other statistical models to evaluate marketing effectiveness
Produce product demand forecasts to inform commercial planning
Work closely with growth product and operations teams to translate insights into action
Present strategic recommendations directly to senior leadership and the board
Skills & Experience

  • Strong statistical background with proven analytical expertise
  • Experience in ecommerce / retail and working with digital media spend at scale
  • Familiarity with all marketing channels and marketing analytics
  • Advanced predictive modelling experience
  • Working on complex data analytics projects across the business supporting all teams with data driven insights
  • Confident influential and able to engage with stakeholders at all levels
  • Flexible dynamic and comfortable in a fast-paced scale-up environment
