The Opportunity
We're seeking a visionary Senior Machine Learning Engineering Manager to spearhead document extraction AI initiatives. In this role, you'll lead a talented team of engineers, pushing the boundaries of natural language processing (NLP), optical character recognition (OCR), and document understanding technologies.
As the Senior ML Engineering Manager, you'll:
-Shape the Future:Define and execute the AI strategy, aligning with the company's product vision and business goals.
-Lead Innovation:Drive the development of state-of-the-art models for extracting structured data from complex financial documents.
-Build a World-Class Team:Mentor and grow a team of exceptional ML engineers and data scientists.
-Bridge the Gap:Collaborate with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate AI solutions into products.
-Set the Standard:Establish best practices for model development, deployment, and monitoring at scale.
What You Bring to the Table
- Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
- 7+ years of ML experience, with a focus on NLP and document understanding
- 3+ years of engineering management experience
- Expertise in Python and ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch)
- Proficiency with cloud platforms and ML pipeline tools
- Strong software engineering fundamentals
Bonus Points
- Experience with financial data extraction and SEC filings
- Knowledge of advanced document understanding techniques (BERT, LayoutLM)
- Familiarity with large language models and generative AI
- Track record of solving complex engineering challenges
