Senior ML Engineer – National Security & Advanced AI

Location: London | Hybrid | Full-time

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000

What you’ll do:

  • Design, develop, and deploy ML and LLM models, from experimentation to production
  • Lead experiments, evaluate results, and iterate rapidly
  • Build scalable ML pipelines and integrate generative AI solutions
  • Apply responsible AI practices, ensuring fairness, explainability, and robustness
  • Collaborate with Data Scientists, Engineers, and stakeholders across the full project lifecycle
  • Mentor junior colleagues and share knowledge across the team


What we’re looking for:

  • Strong Python skills and experience with ML frameworks (scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow)
  • Hands-on experience with cloud ML services (AWS SageMaker, Lambda, S3)
  • Experience deploying ML/LLM models into production with MLOps best practices
  • Strong experiment design, statistical evaluation, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication, able to convey complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Eligible for UK Security Clearance


Nice to have:

  • Vector databases, feature stores, containerisation, advanced LLM techniques
  • Experience in regulated industries
