A fast-growing technology business is developing advanced software for accounting, payroll, tax, and practice management. With a strong engineering foundation and a clear commercial vision, the company is now expanding its focus on artificial intelligence to transform how professional services operate.

They are seeking a Senior Machine Learning / LLM Engineer to take ownership of LLM operations, multi-agent orchestration, and production-level AI integration across their product suite. This is a key role for an experienced engineer who can deliver real-world AI systems at scale.

The Role

The successful candidate will design, deploy, and maintain production-grade AI and LLM systems, ensuring stability, scalability, and measurable impact. This position suits someone with solid experience in deploying and managing live AI systems rather than proofs of concept.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing and maintaining the organisation’s LLM operations platform, including orchestration and observability.

• Designing and deploying AI solutions using Langfuse, LiteLLM, OpenAI, and Azure OpenAI.

• Working closely with engineering teams to embed AI capabilities within core products.

• Implementing and integrating knowledge graph systems such as Neo4j.

• Working within Kubernetes, .NET/C#/SQL or PHP/Laravel/MySQL environments.

• Supporting architectural design, scalability, and model performance.

• Contributing to the wider AI strategy and platform direction.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a practical problem-solver with strong technical judgement, comfortable working in a fast-moving, start-up style setting. They combine solid engineering skills with the ability to think strategically about architecture and commercial outcomes.

Essential experience and skills:

• Demonstrable production experience with LLM and machine learning systems.

• Hands-on knowledge of Langfuse, LiteLLM, OpenAI, or Azure OpenAI.

• Familiarity with graph databases, ideally Neo4j.

• Experience in cloud environments, containerisation, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Strong background in either .NET/C#/SQL or PHP/Laravel/MySQL.

• Ability to solve complex problems under uncertainty and deliver quickly.

• Clear communication and teamwork skills.

Cultural Fit

This environment rewards initiative, optimism, and pace. The team values people who are commercially aware, collaborative, and capable of shipping production systems rapidly. A positive outlook and a drive to find solutions are essential.

Why Apply

This is an opportunity to join a forward-thinking technology business that is leading the integration of AI within a critical sector. The successful applicant will work with talented colleagues, apply modern tools, and see their work directly influence product innovation and customer success.
