Summary:

The Hyperscaler Engineering team sits at the tip of the spear within SAP’s global public cloud transition.  As a Hyperscaler Engineering Senior Full Stack Developer, you will be at the heart of SAPs cloud transformation enabling SAP to develop and deliver high quality products quickly.  Working with our lines of business, you will help build and run our next-generation Hyperscaler technologies at global scale.  If you are an experienced Cloud Infrastructure engineer with a passion for delivering innovative services and value-creation, a career at SAP Labs may be right for you!

In this position you’ll have to function and a variety of roles, however you’ll primarily focus on Software Design and Development, Architecture and Automation.

Expectations and Tasks:

• Work across shared service departments, lines of business and global teams to collect software requirements and drive secure cloud native solutions for our Hyperscaler products and services.
• Work both independently and cooperatively to design and build software solutions leveraging microservices, cloud native design and Kubernetes.
• Run proof of concepts for selected tools to verify they satisfy the requirements of the SAP Hyperscaler Engineering team and its customers.
• Support our solutions from conception to operations and off-boarding.
• You can prioritize and manage multiple concurrent initiatives.
• You are highly resourceful, have a combination of focus, flexibility, self-motivation, integrity, and desire for the team and company’s success.
• You can delegate, function as a technical lead to elevate software quality.
• You can communicate both technically and non-technically

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in JavaScript/Typescript, React, Angular, Typescript, Python, Node
• General k8s and container-based development
• GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps
• Java, Terraform, GoLang experience is a plus
• General familiarity with AI, LLM, machine learning would be advantageous

Language Skills:

• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal

Education and Qualifications:

• BS degree in Computer Science (or related technical field); or equivalent practical experience in technical field
• 3+ years of experience with public cloud delivery (GCP, AWS, Azure preferred)
• Experience related to architectural design and IT security
• Experience collaborating and influence others to improve architectural design, operational processes, and security posture
• Experience of Git, Python, Ansible, Terraform, Packer and Azure DevOps (Or an equivalent modern CI/CD)
• Must be a great human being and possess a mindset of change, while not being afraid to fail
• Familiarity with open source cloud, applications and public clouds (e.g. GCP, AWS, Azure)
• Cloud Management or Cloud Analytics Experience
