OVERVIEW

Harnham is working with a global market research company that is investing heavily into their data science capability across Reading and London.

They have an impressive team to date and are looking to add 2x Data Scientists in the coming months due to on-going success within this part of the organisation, responsible for collecting and analysing data for a number of high-profile customers.

This position sits in a very important part of the business and is responsible for generating significant revenues. The purpose of these roles is to use sophisticated data science and optimisation techniques to automate the key product offering for customers. You will join as the subject matter expert on optimisation for the team and be responsible for leading technical efforts to improve the health of the product.


THE ROLE

You will be:

  • Reporting into the VP of Data and working as part of a collaborative team of Data Scientists, Analysts, and Product specialists
  • Helping to design and build optimisation models to production
  • Analyse historical trading data to uncover new insights to inform future product performance
  • Work with Python extensively, as well as Azure
  • Engage with senior stakeholders across the business

SKILLS AND EXPERTISE

You must have:

  • A BSc, MSc or Ph.D. in a quantitative discipline (e.g. Maths, Stats, Computer Science, Physics etc)
  • Experience programming with Python
  • Significant optimisation experience

SALARY

In this role you could earn up to £70,000 + benefits.
