The role As a Senior DataEngineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You willwork with customers across the defence sector in building solutionsthat deliver insight and contribute to better operationaldecisions. Day-to-day, you’ll be responsible for Designing DataStorage and Maintenance solutions which puts the Data at the heartof our organisation, this will include owning and interacting withData Warehouse and Data Lake solutions. Develop a set of Keyprocesses to support the maintenance delivery of Data SolutionsIdentify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency and qualityDefine the architecture needed to support a wide range of DataSolutions Design and Implementation of Data Flows for the Analyticsand Visualisations teams including the provision of data for BISolutions Produce the ETL scripts to ensure the ETL process isoptimal for the transformation of Data This role is full time, 37hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 daysin the office/onsite and 3 days working from home. Essentialexperience of the Senior Data Engineer A history of defining andworking on Data Warehousing Solutions using Kimball methodologyIn-depth knowledge of database architecture Implementation ofExtraction, Transformation and Load (ETL) flows Good knowledge ofMicrosoft SSIS, Oracle Data Integrator or similar tools Trackrecord of delivering solutions within Database Systems (SQL &NOSQL) Qualifications for the Senior Data Engineer A degree orsimilar in an IT related subject Security Clearance The successfulcandidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC)security clearance for this role. Many of the positions within ourcompany are subject to national security clearance and TradeControl restrictions.
