I'm looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join a well-established organisation in Newcastle (hybrid-working), who truly recognise the value of leveraging their data to better understand their customers and to drive business growth.

In this role you'll join a team of Data Engineers, responsible for the ongoing development of their cutting-edge Azure Data Platform - working across the end-to-end data lifecycle from architecting data ingestion solutions into their Data Lake, designing robust ETL solutions to integrate various data sources, designing data models for analytics capabilities, through to deploying Logic Apps and Function apps for process automation.

As a Senior in the team, you will guide and mentor more Junior colleagues, and will advocate for best-practice and process improvement wherever possible.

Requirements

Prior experience leading and managing Data Engineering teams
Strong SQL and data modelling experience
Experience designing ETL processes
Strong understanding of Data Warehousing principles
Experience with some Azure technologies such as: Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Function Apps
