To help carry us even further, we are on the lookout for an experienced Specialist Engineering resource to join our global team based in UK. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in all aspects of data analytics, including mining, generation, and visualization. Additionally, this person should be committed to transforming data into readable, goal-oriented reports that drive innovation and growth

In this role you will:

• The position will focus on analysing, designing, developing, implementing and maintaining Data Solutions on GCP.
• Work alongside business/Operations stakeholders to establish business needs, and detail the data requirements.
• Hands-on development and provide recommendations about the methods and ways in which we obtain and analyse large data sets, create ETL patterns, improve data quality and the efficiency of our data systems.
• Communicate and resolve interdependencies between different applications.
• Use a combined knowledge of computer science and applications, modelling, statistics, analytics and maths to solve problems.
• Collect & Interpret data and turn it into information which can offer ways to improve a business, thus affecting business decisions.


To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

• A solid grip and hands-on experience in programming languages like Python, Java, SQL, shell scripting etc.
• In-depth knowledge about Relational Databases (Oracle database) and ability to execute queries quickly.
• Experience in GCP services - Dataflow, PubSub, Big Query, Big Table, GCS etc.
• Experience in producing visual depictions of text-based data that reveals the patterns, trends, or correlations between different points - via data visualisation tools like Qlik, Looker, Google Charts etc.
• Experience in the Payments Domain.

This role is based in Sheffield.
