About the Role

We are partnering with a leading organisation in theinsuranceindustry to find a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer. Key Responsibilities:

• Solution Delivery:Develop and maintain scalable data architectures, pipelines, and systems to meet business needs.
• Cloud Expertise:Build and optimise data solutions within cloud platforms, such as Microsoft Azure, ensuring cost-efficiency and scalability.
• Governance and Compliance:Ensure high standards in data quality, security, and compliance, particularly within a regulated insurance environment.
• Stakeholder Collaboration:Work closely with teams across the organisation, including actuaries and analysts, to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Leadership:Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the overall development of the team’s capabilities.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Extensive experience in data engineering roles within theinsurance industry.
• Strong expertise in SQL, Python, and modern data engineering tools and frameworks.
• At least 7 years experience withMicrosoft Azure cloud services, including Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or Synapse.
• Proven ability to manage data governance, security, and compliance standards in regulated environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a strong ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with Power BI or other visualisation tools.
• Knowledge of insurance data models, actuarial data, or claims-related data systems.
• Exposure to large-scale data transformation projects in the insurance or financial services
