Senior Data Engineer required for an Enterprise Scale Business, paying up to £55K + Bonus + Excellent Benefits, with hybrid working in Manchester or Preston
*This is hybrid working offering 2 to 3 days in your nearest office, with the others remotely. (It's still a new team finding the best approaches and solutions with users so being face to face is working really well whilst defining this)
As Senior Data Engineer you will join a relatively new team as a result of continued investment and commitment in the utilisation of Data, BI and data architecture
As Senior Data Engineer you will be working with complex ETL data pipelines, working in an Azure focused environment using tools such as Azure Data Factory and Synapse.
Please note; this role leans towards Data Engineering over purely Business Intelligence. You will still work closely with stakeholders however very much focused on ADF, Synapse, ETL and their new Data Lake.
As a well-established business, with a broad array of stakeholders of all levels, they are hoping, and wanting, to utilise more data sets as well as in a much more usable and creative way. This is an ideal role for a Senior BI Engineer who enjoys working with a business, and it's people, in order to extract and visualise their data in new and better ways.
They really are hoping for someone who has a proactive approach to data, strong experience in ETL, data extraction as well as some visualisation.
They have already invested in the following tools and architecture:
- New Data warehousing architecture, data lake, engineering and pipelines
- Azure Data Factory
- Synapse
- Power BI
This is building on their historical SQL Server databases as well as SSIS, SSAS and SSRS - these aren't essential skills however knowledge of this will of course help them continue to transition.
This is a great role with varied day to day work and real visibility and impact in what you do - I hope this suits you and what you are looking for
