Title: Senior Data Engineer

Salary: Up to £100,000 D.O.E

Location: London (Hybrid 3 Days on site)

The Role:

As a Data Engineering Specialist, you'll play a vital role in transforming how the business uses data. You'll lead critical migration projects, work with modern tooling like Snowflake, and help architect scalable, future-proof data solutions.

You'll also collaborate with business stakeholders, mentor colleagues, and drive improvements in data quality across the board - all while building slick, automated data pipelines in Python.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead data migration and integration tasks, ensuring quality and alignment across systems.

  • Design, implement, and optimise ETL processes to streamline data movement from diverse sources.

  • Build and enhance a robust Snowflake data warehouse to support evolving reporting needs.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve data quality issues, supporting business users with self-service access.

  • Develop Python-based automation tools and scalable pipelines.

  • Conduct data validation, cleansing, and rigorous testing to maintain data integrity.

  • Mentor junior engineers and champion best practices in data management and engineering.

  • Investigate and resolve challenges specific to the financial lending data environment.

What You'll Need:

  • Proven experience across the full data lifecycle - from ingestion and transformation to validation and analysis.

  • Strong Python skills and confidence building automation for large-scale data tasks.

  • Hands-on Snowflake experience.

  • Deep understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines and data governance standards.

  • A solid grasp of financial data or lending domain knowledge is highly desirable.

  • A passion for mentoring and upskilling teammates in a supportive, collaborative environment.

  • Comfort working across teams, communicating complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
