I am working with an insuretech business who have been a fore of the general insurance and mortgage industry for the best part of 20 years.


Their mission is to revolutionise this space through data-driven strategies and cutting-edge technology. With the data team at the heart of this transformation, they are looking for a Senior Data Engineer who will use the latest tools and tech to simplify the insurance and mortgage process for their customers.


The role

As a Senior Data Engineer you'll be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining data infrastructure with a particular focus on Azure Data Platform technologies. Collaborating across teams, you'll ensure systems are robust, scalable and optimised for advanced analytics and reporting.


What you'll be doing

  • You will build and optimise data architecture to support growth and business needs.
  • You will develop and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
  • You will design and manage Azure SQL databases.
  • You will create insightful reports and dashboards using PowerBI.
  • You will collaborate on CI/CD pipelines and ensure smooth system integration.
  • You will contribute to the development of APIs and functions apps where required.


What they are looking for

  • Expertise with Azure Data Platform technologies, including Data Factory and Databricks.
  • Skilled with PowerBI for data visualisation and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience with CI/CD and API development would be a real nice to have but by no means essential.
