Your Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our team, focusing on public sector accounts. Your role involves designing, developing, and managing scalable data pipelines, integrating diverse systems, and implementing data models. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with public sector regulations.

Preferred Education
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes

Collaborate with data scientists and engineers on data integration

Ensure data quality, accuracy, and reliability through testing and validation

Develop data storage solutions, including modeling and schema design

Provide technical support for data issues

Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Experience in data pipeline and ETL development

Collaboration with data teams

Data quality assurance

Data modeling and storage solutions

Technical support and troubleshooting

Knowledge of Java, Python, Elasticsearch, SQL

Understanding of data security and cryptography basics

Analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Additional Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have the right to work in the UK, be residents for the past 10 years, and be able to obtain UK security clearance. We do not sponsor visas.

Preferred Skills and Experience

Public sector experience

Knowledge of cloud platforms (IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure)

Experience with big data frameworks (Apache Spark, Hadoop)

Data warehousing and BI tools (IBM Cognos, Tableau)
