ECOM are partnered with an exciting software development company based in Manchester who are looking for a Senior Data Engineer.

You will join an innovative technology company at the forefront of their industry. As a Principal Data Engineer, you'll be part of a dynamic team dedicated to pushing the boundaries of technology and continually improving their platform.


Role Overview:


Seeking a talented & experienced data engineer to help continue develop, shape, and innovate the data foundations across the business, which will positively impact the customer’s experience. As a Senior Engineer you will be the go to for all things data engineering and heavily influence the roadmap.


Responsibilities:


- Design, develop and continually improve the data platform.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers and data scientists, to integrate data architecture and pipelines across the business in an agile environment.

- Present and discuss data pipelines / practices to non-technical stakeholders


Requirements:


- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.

- Proven experience (3+ years) in developing and deploying data engineering pipelines and products

- Strong proficiency in SQL

- Experienced on Azure

- Experience leading / mentoring junior team members

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.


Operating with a hybrid business model, you'll be required to come into the Manchester office once per month to collaborate with fellow colleague.


For your hard work you'll receive a very competitive salary of up to £60,000 per year.
