Data are crucial in supporting both people and communities across Camden and we are investing in our data capabilities to realise social value in new and exciting ways, creating new insights into complex social issues and the lived experiences of people across the borough.

We have an appetite for innovation, and the work of our data analysts increasingly leverages emergent technologies such as those in the spheres of Generative AI, Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing.


How You’ll Be Involved

We are seeking 2 Senior Data Analysts to lead portfolios of data analysis supporting the following service areas: Property Management and Investment, Place and Opportunity.


The work is varied. It involves ongoing dialogue with decision makers, design and development of efficient and accessible data models and reporting pipelines, and delivery of intelligently designed data products. The roles combine regulatory compliance, business intelligence to support effective service delivery, and research projects to derive new insights that enabled evidence based strategic decision making.


As a Senior Data Analyst in Camden, you will be an accomplished data analysis expert with a body of knowledge and experience of relevant skills, tools, and techniques that you are able to share with others and use to implement and oversee data analysis that supports us in delivering for the people of Camden.


The roles require the line management of up to five Data Analysts. You will be comfortable leading a small team, ensuring adherence to standards, prioritising existing work and proposing new projects. You will also be able to serve as a key point of contact for decision makers within our services, acting as an expert in data analysis and ensuring that decision making is informed by data. You will also operate with confidence and authority within Camden’s community of Data Analysts, fostering a culture of learning and networking Data Analysts to facilitate collaborative working.

  • First Round interview: 25 Minute technical knowledge based phone call
  • Testing Element: If you are successful through the call you will be sent a technical test to complete and send back to the panel to be discussed at the second interview
  • Second Round interview: 1 hour in person interview discussing your test and competency based questions
  • Third Round interview: Informal conversation with stakeholders for the relevant area you will be working with
