About the job

Join our research team as an experienced data analyst, delivering actionable data driven insights across diverse global shipping, trade, offshore, renewables and energy datasets. You’ll help us build and derive valuable data used widely to analyse impacts of market trends, geopolitics and decarbonisation.


What you’ll be doing:

  • Use the latest data science tools and techniques for data processing, analysis and visualisation
  •  Lead planning and implementing of pipelines for processing and analysing complex data
  •  Work with stakeholders, analysts, data engineers and developers across our global network
  • Manage project tasks and track deliverables
  • Ensure data integrity throughout all stages of data development
  • Develop AI and ML techniques to extract, transform, derive, aggregate and validate data


You’ll need to have:

  • Full rights to work in the UK permanently
  • 4 years’ experience in data analytics or data science working with complex data
  • Excellent demonstratable SQL skills including complex queries and stored procedures
  • Solid Python and Spark/ Databricks skills and an understanding of delta tables
  • Strong numerical, data handling and analytical skills in relation to complicated data models
  •  A degree in relevant numerate or analytical subject
  • Ability to communicate insights clearly and using visualisation tools such as Power BI
  • Good organisational skills and strong attention to detail
