Contract:Fixed Term (12 months)

Salary:£41,511 - £45,718 per annum (Grade 8)

Hours:36.66 per week

Location:Spindles, George Street Oldham OL1 1HD

Role Overview:

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of the development and implementation of the new national Families First Partnership (FFP) in Oldham. You will be part of wider team of analysts in the Data and Intelligence service that will provide professional support. You will also be part of a small team pulled together specifically to implement this new legislation. You will support the programme Manager of this team by providing data, intelligence and analysis to support decision making and the implementation of this new multi-agency model. This will enable Children’s services to deliver a new integrated system to support the wellbeing and protection of children and young people.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Extract Data from the children’s caseload database system for analysis using interrogative languages (e.g. SQL, Python)
  • Matching data from a range of sources to produce dashboards and analysis to present to a range of audiences
  • Deliver related statutory returns


Key Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Experience of working in any of the following areas Early Help/Children’s social care/ Education/Youth Justice
  • Experienced in data interrogation and producing reports and dashboards
  • Strong capability of data interpretation form a number of sources to provide a coherent analysis
  • Data analysis and interpreting statistical data in a large complex organisation
  • Knowledge of how Children’s Services function within a local authority
  • Experience of presenting intelligence/insight in visual formats (i.e. Power Bi)
